I am obsessed with smoothies! You can add so many different ingredients and they are very easy for your body to digest because all of the food has already been broken down for you.
I normally have a smoothie for a breakfast meal as I like to eat my fruit in the morning and feel a smoothie is one of the best ways to energize your body for the important start of your day.
See my recipe below:
1/2 banana
1/2 cup of blueberries
1/2 avocado
Large handful of spinach or kale (sometimes both)
1 scoop of spirulina
1 cup of almond or oatmilk
3/4 cup of ice
Sometimes I add a scoop of vegan chocolate or vanilla protein powder.
++ you can also add a shot of espresso if you need a kick!
